S. Tarlochan Singh giving interview in the program Ekla chalo where the independent members of the Parliament are interviewed. In this interview S. Tarlochan Singh discussed his career spanning 4 decades. He is the pioneer in so many things during the various jobs he undertook.
S. Tarlochan Singh speaking at Gurmat College on the basic principles of Sikhism and the current situation of the Sikh religion. He pointed out that we sikhs have destroyed our heritage of old architecture Gurudwaras and replaced them with marbles. We have ourselves created controversy in our religion. He emphasized that we should concentrate only learning and understanding gurbani and leave aside all other tasks, as only gurbani would enrich us and bring us closer to Waheguru.

S. Tarlochan Singh speaking in the Parliament on the Women’s Bill. He congratulated the Prime Minister and the Leader of Opposition in working together to pass this Bill. He mentioned that the Sikh Gurus and the sikh religion has always given utmost importance to the women as they are the ones who give birth to both the kings and the saints. He also requested the government to consider a demand of the Sikh women, to allow them to register their marriage under the Anand Marriage Act and not the Hindu marriage act.

The amnesty provided to the youth of J&K should also be extended to the Sikh youth who went to the other side during the insurgency in Punjab. He also said that the Indian Government should also depute some Punjabi speaking officers in Indian embassies abroad as there is a substantial population of Punjabi population in countries like Canada. He also mentioned that the government of India till date have never released the stamps of any sikh leaders.

Punjab and Hayana farmer who provide 80% of the food to the country have been given only 1.4% of the total loan waiver. Suggested that the farmers be given loan at 4%. Raised the issue of issuing the identity certificate to NRIs so that they can get citizenship of Italy and Spain. Suggested that a tourism plan should be made for Vaishnu Devi and Amritsar.

The Pakistan Government also ignored the instructions of UNESCO on the maintainence of these historical places.

Tarlochan Singh protesting in the Parliament for an indifferent attitude of the Government towards displaced sikhs in Pakistan in spite of having paid Jaziya. Government can send missions to Sri Lanka for resolving issues of the displaced Tamil but nobody to Pakistan for Sikhs cause. All this is happening when we have a Sikh Prime Minister. None of the Akali leaders are ready to join the crusade whereas people from other states associated themselves to the issue.
